You’re lucky enough to find yourself here in a privileged natural environment, with so much to discover.
Nestled in the heart of the mountains in a charming, typically Pyrenean village with a population of around 60, the campsite is peaceful and ideal for resting between 2 outdoor activities: hiking, strolling, discovering heritage, visiting museums and the regional terroir, mountain sports, cycling, downhill mountain biking, scootering, climbing, whitewater activities, paragliding… The list goes on!

From the campsite, the natural surroundings offer a real playground for discovery, from walks and hikes to cycling and mountain biking.
A multitude of activities await you just a few steps from the campsite.
We can recommend local partners for all these activities, so please consult us before booking your program.
There’s no room for boredom here, except if you choose to.
Things to do near the campsite
Take advantage of the activities, visits and walks just a stone’s throw from the campsite, for days full of adventure and discovery, always in the heart of nature.
- La chèvrerie de Gouaux, it’s great to have this cheese factory just a stone’s throw from the campsite. Stéphanie offers tours and milking sessions, and makes a delicious cheese that’s a must-taste.
- Cycling the mythical Pyrenees mountain passes
- Mountain biking at the Bike Parks in Saint-Lary or Peyragudes, or on the Gouaux ridges
- Climbing near Gouaux
- Hiking, nature walks, Néouvielle nature reserve, Pyrenees National Park…
- Rafting, via ferrata and canyoning nearby in Spain

Swimming near camping Le Ruisseau
The campsite doesn’t have a swimming pool, a choice that is both ecological, as the village of Gouaux is self-sufficient in terms of water resources, and peaceful for our customers. We have given priority to free, professionally supervised activities for children and the whole family. After a day’s hiking, it’s the perfect place to relax. You can go swimming during the day, on certain walks, or near the campsite (information at reception).
You’ll also find plenty of opportunities for swimming all around the campsite, in pools, water parks, natural pools and balneo/spa baths with bathing specialists. For those who prefer, we have mobile homes for rent with private spas.
